I took an untraditional route to creating my artist book. I created a base so that the pages can be free standing. Each page has a different 8 word phrase meant for my loved one.

This is my design take on the popular book, The Lovely Bones.

On December 6th, 1973, Susie Salmon was walking home from school. December 6th, 1973 is also the day that Susie Salmon was brutally murdered. Now Susie remains in heaven watching over her family as they try to cope with losing their daughter. Susie wants her family to heal, but in the mix she also wants revenge for her killer.

This project prompted us to develop a design for a book cover and then adapt it for a poster format. My goal was to create a 3D element in my design. I achieved this through careful layering and applying a drop shadow effect.

I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to create the cover for The Warrens written by Victoria Williams-Fisher. This is the fourth installment of the Pescadero Creek series.

Rob and Morgan have just reconciled after a lengthy separation. Rob has moved back home with his wife and children, and everyone is thrilled when the couple announce that an addition to the family will arrive later that summer. Their home is truly a happy one with weddings and parties taking place. But amidst all the celebrating, the Warren-McAllister mansion seems to take on a life of its own.
